Brain Pop Video: Flash Animation
Frame by Frame Animation
Layers, Frames, Onion Skin, Frames per second, drawing tablet
Command + Z to go back, Fn+ F7 to create a new frame
Friday, August 26
Begin Flash Animation: Squash and stretch
Monday, August 29
Continue squash and stretch to make the ball bounce around the page for at least 20 frames. Then, make something happen. What will the ball do next? Will it morph into something else? Will it explode? Will it split into three? Surprise us!
Tuesday, August 30
Continue bounce animation. You should have at least 30 frames of bounce and 60 frames of a surprise action. Then create an ending including your name.
Wednesday, August 31- Friday, September 2
Finish your animation. You can press file- export movie and save as a quicktime file to drag into iMovie and add sound effects.
Tuesday, September 6-Wednesday, September 7
Save your Flash Project 1 as a .gif by going to File- Export- Movie and change the file type on the bottom of the screen to Animated Gif. Go onto your blog page. Drag title and type Welcome to (your name)'s page. Drag another title and type Flash Project 1: Bounce.
Drag an image box underneath. Double click the image box then double click on your folder on the desktop. Drag your .gif file into the image box. Once it loads, you can drag a text box underneath. In at least 3 sentences, describe what happens in your animation. Then type things that you learned and can now do using Flash.

WEEK 3-4: FLASH ANIMATION PROJECT 2
Thursday, September 15- Monday, September 19
Finish Flash Project 2: Shape Tween
-Animation has at least 300 frames
-Animation has the following tweens:
-a shape moves position
-a shape turns into a different shape
-a shape turns a different color
-a shape changes size
-Go to file- export- movie to save as an animated .gif
-Upload your finished animation to your blog
-Write a description of what happens in your animation (should include the 4 tweens above!)
If you finish you can work on a choice project:
-Shirt logo design in Photoshop
-Tinkercad- tutorials 1-5 then individual project
Tuesday, September 20
In Photoshop, create a new document
Add a background color. Type your name so it is easy to read.
Open your first Flash project, pick your favorite frame, and take a screenshot. Drag the screenshot onto your Photshop document.
Create a QR Code of your weebly site. Take a screenshot of it.
Drag it onto your Photoshop document.
Add fx to make your words and images stand out.
Mrs. Kushner will help you print so we can hang these up!

3RD PERIOD LEARNING INTENTION: FLASH PROJECT 3
We are learning how to animate using layers in Flash.
We are learning this so we can effectively tell a story and create visual effects using images.
We will know we've learned this when we can animate multiple layers at a time.
10TH PERIOD LEARNING INTENTION: TINKERCAD
We are learning how to use Tinkercad.
We are learning this so we can create 3D models digitally.
We will know we've learned this when we have created a digital model that is ready to 3D print.
Thursday, September 22
3rd period: Google Doc- Write 4 things you can do in Flash now that you have completed your shape tween project. Add extra things you can do for bonus PBIS reward stamps! Write a plan for Flash Project 3- either moving multiple shapes using layers or animating a story using layers (background, character, other items). Demo- Flash Project 3- Using Layers.
10th period: 9/22 Media Arts Participation sheet
Set goals for the day. Pick from the tasks on your sheet- complete shape tween and upload to weebly, complete QR Code poster, continue Tinkercad tutorials 1-5 and choice 3D project design.
